High Protein Chickpea and Green Pea Penne with Peppers and Sage
Ingredients:
HP chickpea and green pea penne 250g
Olive oil 100 ml
Parmesan 50g
Green sage 50g
Pepper 1 pc
Garlic 50g
Liquid cream 250 ml
Salt/Pepper
Preparation Instructions
- The pasta is boiled in salted boiling water on low heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally;
- The sage leaves and garlic are finely chopped, and the pepper is sliced;
- In a pan, heat the olive oil, add the garlic, sage leaves, and pepper. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously;
- Season with salt and pepper;
- Add the liquid cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the pepper softens;
- Add the Parmesan. The sauce will begin to thicken and become creamy. Let it simmer on low heat for another minute;
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the sauce in the pan. Stir well to combine;
- Finally, garnish with Parmesan and sage leaves.
It is a perfect recipe for a nourishing lunch or dinner, rich in protein!
